AdopTween Day Camp

Join us for our first-ever AdopTween Day Camp this summer from June 30-July 2! This is a brand new event that takes full inspiration from our year-round AdopTween program and the early years of our fan favorite Adopteen Camp-Conference.

Campers are invited to join us for three days of connection and celebration. We will be jam-packing our days with meaningful adventures and having the time of our lives.

AdopTween Day Camp is not a cultural camp. Day Camp is an amazing chance for your Tween to step outside of their comfort zone and form lifelong connections with fellow pre-teen adoptees and older adoptee mentors from around the country. With workshops, excursions, and discussions, this is a wonderful chance for your Tween to start exploring their adoption identity with confidence, support, and pride.

Event highlights:

  • Family Potluck Dinner on Saturday, July 1st
  • Slumber Party for all of the campers, Saturday, July 1st – Sunday, July 2nd

Entirely organized and led by adoptees, AdopTween Day Camp is guaranteed to be an impactful, inspiring, and life-changing weekend for your Tween. We hope your Tween can join us!

Exciting Workshops

Our AdopTween Day Camp workshops will allow campers to learn fun new skills, discover hidden talents, take control of and celebrate their stories, and possibly even level up their Pokémon. Day Camp includes four interactive workshops for tweens to engage, reflect, and create. It is our hope that campers will leave each workshop learning more about themselves and feeling more empowered and proud.

Fun Excursions

Although most of Day Camp will be on campus at our The Park headquarters, we’ll also make time for some exciting excursions off campus to visit some of Denver’s coolest destinations! Whether it’s a pool party or a day at the amusement park, make sure to bring your sunglasses and bold sense of adventure 🙂 We’re going to have a blast.

Meaningful Conversations

The conversations that AdopTween Day Camp inspires are simple, personal, and precious. AdopTween prioritizes connection through fun. We have a lot of fun (and we mean A LOT of fun) and it’s through the fun that true, purposeful conversations are found.

Adopteen Camp-Conference FAQs

We have so many conversations and adventures to fit into our short weekend together! Our camp days are not truly 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM. Please refer to our general schedule outline for a full overview.

If your camper would like to stay overnight for the Saturday night Slumber Party, AdopTween Day Camp really becomes a “hybrid” camp, with Day One ending at 6:00 PM and then Day Two and Day Three running together overnight.

Yes, AdopTween Day Camp is co-ed. Any and all adoptees, ages 8-12, are welcome to attend!

Yes, we try our best to make sure that all activities and excursions are accessible for our differently abled campers. If you have specific needs or concerns, please do call us at (303) 221-6688 ext. 204 to make a plan with our staff so that your camper can have the best weekend possible!

The Saturday Slumber Party is a chance for us to make the most out of our short weekend together. We’ll be stocking our The Park headquarters up with late night snacks, games, and activities galore. Campers will need to bring their sleeping bags, sleepwear, and toiletries for a fun night in. We’re talking movies, photobooth, video games, board games, karaoke, and more!

Not at all! We know that slumber parties can be overwhelming or uncomfortable for some campers. The Saturday Slumber Party is completely optional and campers are welcome to check out after our Family Potluck Dinner if they would prefer.

The AdopTween Day Camp refund policy is as follows:

  • Any cancelation within 31 days prior to the event is guaranteed a 100% full refund.

AdopTween Day Camp is a chance for pre-teenaged adoptees from all around the country to meet, share, celebrate, and inspire each other. Camp will be supervised by The Park staff and our camp counselors. Parents are encouraged to let their tween create independent memories, but we understand that some parents may want to stay close by and that is okay. If so, please let the Camp staff know.
